Dimie Cat is a French singer-songwriter. She was born in Lyon, France on October 28, 1984 and grew up in Nice, French Riviera, to a family who shared her love of music.
After cello studies at the Conservatory, she took singing lessons and went quickly to vocal jazz, performing with various bands throughout her teens.
In 2006, after a musicology degree, she turned up to Paris, France and recorded voices for advertising. Then, she started to work for the Columbia record label as a backup vocalist, vocal coach and songwriter for several artists, nurturing at the same time the dream of realizing her own project. And this dream came true since she met in 2007 the talented and eclectic producer Franck.
Together, they wrote all the songs of Dimie Cat's debut album : Pin Me Up.

This brand new album introduces a unic Pop / Nu-Jazz and as the title announces it, Dimie Cat’s music is fresh and glam, inspired by pin-ups and vamps of the 40’s-50’s. Dimie managed a beautiful combination of French and English songs, which come as short stories about love and the surprises it has in store, with a great deal of mischief.
Between Lou Reed, Christina Aguilera and the Andrews Sisters (with its close harmony vocal arrangements), this album is a sweet to relish through the songs... Delicious!
